Life is hard, I get it. There are times where I look at an old picture of myself and think “what the heck, I’m hot why did I feel so bad about myself ” .
Time start living it up!
I have shared the top damaging states of mind you should steer clear from, plus one you should constantly default to!
Constant State of Judgement
Don’t be a hater. Insecure people love to hate folks that look like they have it all together. Think about the time when you were secretly hating because someone you knew decided to do or try something that you (low-key) wanted to do. There has to be at least ONE time that you can remember.
EXAMPLE: Someone looks like a DIME but their eyeliner is definitely a PENNY.
YOUR MINDSET CHANGE: What the hell does their eyeliner have to do with me?
Constant State of Self-Judgement
Basically, break up with that demonic voice that plagues your mind with toxic thoughts about yourself. If not, you’ll wake up with a crick in your neck from letting that little demon bring you down.
Don’t start chanting “I love my self, I’m happy, I love my self, I’m happy” you have to mean it for that to work. Start by noting the time when you have positive thoughts about yourself. Keep doing that until your brain makes it automatic!
EXAMPLE: You cooked some dank food today?
YOUR MINDSET CHANGE: Wowzers, I’m such a good cook! I have no problems with eating this nearly every day this week.
Constant State of Worry
Worrying will make you gain weight. Well…that is what webmd says, and we ALL know that what webmd says is true … even when you find out that you have 12 weeks to live after searching why you have stomach aches.
Worrying is something I have the hardest time with. I find that a physical calendar, along with the notes app on my phone
EXAMPLE: I used to have issues with thinking that I forgot to lock my apartment while at work. The thought would be the thing that would nag me during the day. This may seem obsessive, but I starting utilizing my iPhone notes app. I would add a period to my calendar date every time I lock my door. This technique helped my anxiety by having something to confirm that locking my door needed to be a habit. Learn how to tame your worry by finding healthy ways to cope with it
THE ONE STATE OF MIND TO LIVE IN
Constant State of Growth!
Growth happens in every one of the 86,400 seconds of the day. You are in this state of mind whether you like it or not. This is good news because it is OKAY to have negative thoughts during your time of growth. Remember … those are just thoughts and some thoughts are simply not true. You deserve more credit than you give yourself!
Give yourself some credit yo! You’re growing 🙂
