1. Call that bad boy out
When you find that your demon keeps trying to whisper sweet nothings to you… call it out! The moment that brat mentions anything like “you can’t do anything right” or “you will never look like them,” the best thing you can do is stop. Literally-stop; say it out loud if you need too. I’m now at the point where I’ll forcibly whisper stop to myself to shut that demon up. – #staygrounded.
2. Acknowledge it
Yeah…acknowledge that demon. Don’t act like it is not there. You can try to cover it up and say you love yourself over and over again for a million years, but denial is an awful state of mind to live in. Acknowledging your demon will allow you to focus on the reason why those toxic thoughts are circling around in that brain of yours. You will then realize how silly you are by not giving yourself the credit YOU deserve. You are so capable of more than what you give yourself credit for!
3. Argue with it
YES…argue with it!
Demon: You are dumb for making stupid mistakes
Demon: You look like an idiot, people are judging you.
You: They can judge me all they want bc: 1. they don’t pay my bills (they can if they want) and 2. I know why I’m here…why should I care.
4. Own it
It’s literally your brain talking to you. Don’t give the demon the time of day to let it live in your mind rent free. Evict it right away.
